What we work on

Every part that makes a door move.

A garage door is a counterbalance system, not just a slab. When one part goes, the rest carries the load until it doesn't. Here's what we repair and replace.

Broken springs

Torsion and extension springs carry nearly the whole weight of the door. We match the right wire size, length and cycle rating instead of the closest thing on the truck.

Most common failure

Cables & drums

Frayed cables, cables off the drum, a door hanging crooked in the opening. We re-seat, re-tension and check the drum for grooving before it happens again.

Door sits crooked

Rollers, hinges & track

Grinding, binding, or a door that jumps the track. Worn nylon rollers and bent track are cheap to fix now and expensive to ignore.

Noise & binding

Openers & remotes

Chain, belt and screw drive units. Motor replacement, gear kits, travel and force limits, keypads, remotes and Wi-Fi setup.

Chain · belt · screw

Panels & new doors

Dented or split sections replaced individually where the model still exists, or a full door swap in steel, insulated steel, wood-look or full-view glass.

Section or full door

Safety sensors & tune-ups

Doors that reverse for no reason are usually misaligned photo eyes. We realign, test the auto-reverse, balance the door and lubricate the whole system.

Annual service

Before you touch it

A wound torsion spring stores enough energy to break bones.

If you heard a bang from the garage and the door now feels impossibly heavy, the spring is broken. Don't force it up, don't run the opener, and don't unwind a spring without winding bars and the right training.

Leave the door down, park outside if you can, and call us. Spring work is the single most common reason people get hurt in a garage.

Recent work

Doors we've put our name on.

A door is the largest moving object in most homes and the biggest thing on the front of the house. Here's a sample of what we've repaired, replaced and installed.

New installation Two technicians lifting a new white raised-panel garage door section into the opening of a home

Full door replacement

Two-tech install of an insulated raised-panel door. New track, hinges and rollers go in with the door, so the whole system is the same age.

Track repair Reliance technician repairing a garage door track and hinge bracket at the door jamb

Track & hinge service

Bent track and a worn hinge bracket at the jamb, reset and re-fastened. Caught early, this is a service call instead of a new section.

Opener upgrade Technician on a ladder mounting a new garage door opener and rail to the garage ceiling

Opener installation

Rail mounted to the ceiling framing and squared to the door, then travel and force limits set and the auto-reverse tested before handover.

How a call goes

Three steps, no mystery.

First

Tell us what it's doing

Call or send the form. What you heard, what it does now, and roughly how old the door is gets us most of the way to the part before we arrive.

Then

We diagnose on site

We test the balance, inspect springs, cables, rollers and the opener, and give you the price in writing before any work starts.

Finally

Fixed and cycle-tested

We run the door through full open and close cycles, check the auto-reverse, and show you what failed and why before we leave.

Coverage

One number, fifty states.

Reliance runs a nationwide service network, so the same standard applies whether the door is on a house in the suburbs or a bay at a warehouse. [[SERVICE_AREA_NOTE]]
